Victim’s Family Now Demands Money They Had Previously Refused

In 2010, a young Chinese man named Yao Jiaxin hit a young woman named Zhang Miao with his car. Noticing her memorizing his license place number and afraid that she would cause him trouble, he took a knife and stabbed her eight times until she died before fleeing. He was later put on trial, convicted, and executed in 2011.

February 8th after 11am, Xi’an, Yao Jiaxin victim Zhang Miao’s father Zhang Pingxuan, Zhang Miao’s husband Wang Hui, and lawyer Zhang Xian arrived at Yao Jiaxin’s father Yao Qingwei’s home prepared to demand the 200,000 Yao Qingwei previously offered. In 2011, Yao Jiaxin’s father Yao Qingwei’s offer of 200,000 yuan was refused by Zhang Miao’s family. With regards to this, Yao Qingwei said “the 200,000 was borrowed and has already been returned, and since they already refused it, I have no obligation to give it again.” At the scene, Wang Hui and Yao Jiaxin’s father Yao Qingwei’s representative lawyer got into a fight, and were taken away by police.

February 8th at 11am in the morning, Xi’an, Zhang Miao’s father Zhang Pingxuan, Zhang Miao’s husband Wang Hui, and lawyer Zhang Xian arrived at Yao Jiaxin’s father Yao Qingwei’s home prepared to demand the 200,000 yuan they had previously rejected.

Soon, Zhang Xian (front), who had previously remarked on weibo that he wanted to come see the face off, also arrived at the residential complex where Yao Qingwei lives.

As Zhang Xian is being taken away by police, he doesn’t forget to wave to the surrounding crowd and media from the patrol vehicle.

After Wang Hui, the husband of the “Yao Jiaxin Case” victim Zhang Miao, was taken away by police, Zhang Miao’s father Zhang Pingxuan was unsuccessful in getting the 200,000 yuan and left Yao Qingwei’s home.
