Student Secretly Donates Government Scholarship To School

A 17-year-old student of Hubei Shuiguohu Senior High School secretly donated a scholarship he gained from Wuchang District Government to help impoverished students. Volunteer Huang Yibo was one of six students from elementary schools to universities in the district to win the prize, which is only awarded to those who have demonstrated prominent displays of kindness and selflessness. Admissions Director Dai Fangwen said staff only became aware of what Huang had done after the funds appeared in the school’s account. Netizens likened the boy to multimillionaire entrepreneur and philanthropist Chen Guangbiao.
