Director Meng Jinghui Brings First Full-Immersion Play to China

Meng Jinghui, currently one of the most influential directors in Chinese theater, has a new play in the works, Mermaid Beside Still Water, the first full-immersion play to come to China. The play will be performed in the 5 story Beehive Theater, which is currently being renovated into a unique theater. The entire building, including the lobby, stairs, hallways, rehearsal rooms, offices, coffee shop and more will all be part of the stage. It will also have different plots depending on which character the audience members choose to follow.
