Zhengzhou Old Man Builds a “Lamborghini” for Grandson, Construction Cost of 5000 RMB

The over 50-year-old Old Guo is this car’s maker. The first time the idea of making the car sprouted into his mind was while taking his grandson to school. The child is restless and when sitting on the back of an electric moped, it would be easy for him to fall off. Old Guo thus began refining his idea of building an electric car, to carry the child to school. So, Old Guo consulted images on the internet, and after a long half year and over 5000 yuan fabricated this car. Photo is of Old Gu taking his grandson out for a spin.

This car’s shape is that of a “Lamborghini” sports car. In addition to a rear-view mirror, it has all the accessories, as well as a stereo installed. Of the three push buttons on the steering wheel, the two on the left and right control the horn, while the center button can be pushed to engage reverse. According to Old Guo, this car has 5 internal batteries, and can travel a relaxed 60 kilometers. Photo is of the hand-made Lamborghini, approximately 2 meters long and 1 meter wide.

When Local traffic police were interviewed, they said this car can be driven as a toy at low speeds within the neighborhood or park, but because there is no relevant technical parameter support and did not go through safety inspection qualifications procedures as regulated by the country, it is absolutely not allowed to go on public roads in accordance with traffic regulations. To keep with the characteristics of a sports car, the car uses scissor doors design, a wing is installed on the rear end, and the car body is made from stainless steel, the car’s body completely shaped with tools.

The steering wheel is affixed with Lamborghini’s logo, Which Old Guo purchased off the internet. The push button in the middle of the steering wheel can control the car’s forward and reverse drive.

The electric door is fitted with glass.

The sports car is fitted with a concealed electrically operated rain canopy/cover, which when started will automatically raise the rain canopy.

The sports car was completeled in Old Guo’s “workshop”. The workshop has all the tools necessary such as a pneumatic press and cutter.

The family was very supportive of Old Guo building the car.

After the first sports car was made, other relatives also wanted one. Old Guo found time to make another two sports cars.

Old Guo normally is engaged in some minor business, so in order to transport things, he specially designed a tow hook on the back of the car that can be attached to a trailer, allowing the sports car to suddenly transform into a towing vehicle.

Old Guo’s handcrafted “Lamborghini” sports car has attracted quite a few people’s attention.
